Dr. Phillips High School’s Theatre Magnet Program was founded in 19 by Karen Rugerio and Susan Porro and has been thriving ever since. Since then, the Theatre Program has done many different productions including Guys and Dolls, Mary Poppins, Into the Woods, and so many more.

The Theatre Magnet Program has produced many talented people into the professional world such as Wayne Brady, star of The Wayne Brady Show, Whose Line is it Anyway?, and many more. Another great person the Theatre Magnet has produced is Joey Fatone. Joey Fatone was a part of the hit band ‘N Sync and he appeared on Broadway in the hit shows Rent and Little Shop of Horrors.

Dr. Phillips High School’s Theatre Magnet is currently run by Jason Whitehead and Sarah Clark.
